Good Grief......fucking religious freaks...

I do find it rather sad when a young talent in the world of film or music dies prematurely. And yes it was sad ,when earlier this week Heath Ledger died. Here was a guy who loved his work,a gifted actor, Generally kept to himself and was by all accounts a doting father. No real scandalous details of his death, just seems to be an accident. Of course this will drive up the box office on "The Dark Knight" as he played the Joker in the forth coming blockbuster. Just sad.

But here's what I don't get, and where the religion comes in. Upon Ledger's death an outspoken right wing religious priest(aka nutjob)named Fred Phelps said his church was going to picket his funeral because he PLAYED a gay cowboy. Not that he was gay...but because he PLAYED a gay man in a movie once, and for this he was "perverted and deserved to go to hell with the other sinners". Where do these nutjobs get off picketing a funeral in the first place but their lone reason is because he played a gay cowboy in a movie. Fucking Christ leave the poor family alone. That's right I said "Fucking Christ"., maybe he'll picket my funeral because I once typed "Fucking Christ". This whole thing is just sick, and does just go to show the dark side of religion. You can read an article here from an Australian newspaper on the story.

On a sort of related and lighter note. There is s group that has launched an attack(or war) on the Tom Cruise cult...I mean Church of Scientology... apparently it's a bunch of hackers with some free time but the video was kinda creepy. Check it out below.

The fact that Homosexuality was condoned in their Bible and also permitted/encouraged in the ranks of the Roman Legion, when it wasn't Just Another Part of the standard Camaraderie, just seems to be something their hick asses haven't learnt or realized.

That the Catholic Church formed and grew the most in power during a time when homosexuality was completely a non-issue, and that it was due to prudish refinements in the hoop-skirt, non-bathing era that made it a sin, is also lost on them.

But the real problem, here, is that some people don't understand that THINGS ON TV ARE NOT REAL. I understood that as a small boy, really, and I don't get how people can be so stupid.

Americans frighten me.

HnK,
- me
