Canada is a "Godless" country...And they seem to buy a lot of Trojans

Word has come down this week from The Holy Father himself, Pope Benedict, that the low birth rate in Canada is caused by godlessness and "social ills and moral ambiguities that result in secular ideology".

Well Pope Benny, that is an interesting take on things. I like to think that here in Canada we are just a little bit smarter than your average drunken college co-ed on springbreak. Of course this is also the group that seems to have a problem with sodomizing young boys but that's another entry all together.

This is one of those times where the Catholic Church is just showing how much that they are out of touch with the changing times of this day and age. It is a religion built on old morals that very few can, will, want to live up to. They should be happy that people are taking precautions. Does the low birth rate mean that people are having less sex...fuck no..It just means were smart about it. The Church is having problems with attendance and shrinking congregations. It is these firms stances, like no sex before marriage, no gay marriage, no divorces, that are driving people away. No one wants to hang out with the old guy They need to have a shake up to get people back, (though if they call me I put in my time)capture the youth. Offer free ipods or something.(I might think about going back for an Ipod). I think Kevin Smith was on to something with the Catholisim WOW campaign.
