Too much coffee?....I don't think so..
So the other day, June 6th to be exact, was Camp Day at Tim Horton's. every year Tim Horton's donates their days coffee proceeds to send kids to camp that may not have the chance otherwise to go. It's a solid charity and a good cause that I support evry year...hell every freakin day..
This Camp Day was no different, I bought 4 extra large coffees(through out the day, not all at once) and donated 4 bucks in loose change. Thats me the good semaritan and helper of under privlaged children across Canada. However, a thought came to mind, now it could have been the caffine, but I started think about these happy kids that go to camp, smiles on their faces, an endless summer of fun awaiting them. Then I started thinking about all the stories I had heard over the years about the horrors of camp life. I staretd thinking what if these kids were "touched where their bathing suits covered" by hidden agenda councillors. Sure it may sound like I am making fun of a horrible thing, that camp is fun and safe and their are procedures and background checks that go into screening people out, but then let us remeber that people thought it was great for their young children to hang out with Catholic priests at one time too. They should make the kids sign a waiver that says they can't sue the Tim Hortons customers in their community for sending them to "The Camp Of Horror!".....good god...maybe I did have to much coffee...
