Ok just a quick post today...nothing long winded(Shut up Dale..) I just read this on the forums and had to kind of put it out there. This is for the geeks it's long but no matter how bad the new Brian Singer Superman movie is(I figure it will be ver good by the way) it will not be as bad as what it could have been. Read this if you want to see how bad it could have been........

What's amazing is that Hollywood hasn't fucked up more comic book movies.
I imagine that most of the movies out there go thru somewhat of a similar experience.
It usually ends up being a good movie when the Director or Producer respects the source material. When it's looked at as just a money-making opportunity, that's when the problems start.

I am beginning to think that problems start with the words"Jon Peters" and Giant fucking spider in the third act

A coupla things.

1. Joey, ya fucker, I totally sent this exact thing to you a MONTH ago. You're filtering my mail, aren't ya?

2. D's right: when it's all about the money, blatant business and cost/benefit vs actually giving us what we the consumer wants, then it is distasteful, uninspired dreck which we no longer buy. I think our increasingly critical nature is (finally!) becoming a thing now, what with the glut of crap out there, since we went to go see Richard Pryor in Superman but would probably not go see him now. Likewise for the fake, supergum-chewing Jaime Sommers: Lindsay Wagner would get a double cut of, like, 10 bucks in gross.
