2 trailers...3 movies...

Don't have much today just wanted to share some movie trailers that I found quite interesting.

One is for 300 which is all over the t.v right now so most people have seen it I am sure, but this movie looks amazing. I might have to find a reason to go to an imax some where to see it.

The other is for the new joint picture from Robert Rodriguez(Sin City, Dusk til Dawn) and some dude named Quentin Tarantino. A Retro throw back to the 70's be movies Grindhouse looks very cool.

One last one is for a movie called Black Snake Moan, stars Sam Jackson and Christina Ricci and Mr. I-Bringing-sexy-back-but-don't-hold-it-against-the-movie-Justin Timberlake. Again looks interesting...check them out at the links below...

The Question is could I care less??

1. A new U2 album.
2. Bono's latest semi-political diatribe.
3. The new Hugh fucking Grant movie.
4. If the cast of Radio Free Rosco will ever do a reunion show.
5. If David Beckham will play his first game in the T-dot.
6. The rock that gets stuck in your tire and makes an audible click while you drive.
7. The rights of "Binner's".
8. Watching the newest wedding show on the "Life Network".
9. The dating Lives of whatever celebrity is popular that day.
10.Bradgalina.
11.Any Season of the Fucking Real World.
12.Freakin Nascar.
13.A Journey\Air Supply summer concert tour.
14.Nickelback's countinued success.
15.Toejam

What do these 15 things have in common you ask???..I care about these more than I care about the latest developments in the Anna Nicole Smith case. Why won't this shit go away and why does everyshow, even the nightly news have to report on it. It almost makes me wish for the days of the OJ trial. Let the train wreck stop......

It's like when you hit "shuffle" on the ipod..

Some days you have a coherent thought that warrants a full length post, but then on others like, today, you get a random list of thoughts..more like rants..

1.So the Grammy's were the other day, the only thing of interest was the Police reunion. It was good. But why the FUCK did they have to do Roxanne. I know it was the big hit and the song most identifiable with the band but fuck that..that is what people expected...

2. Also on the Grammy topic. I get so pissed off that people feel the need to thank "God". It just seems so contrived. You hear that Mary J. Blige, I have to admit though I thanked God on Grammy night...when she shut the hell up..

3. Can some one please tell me what exactly Anna Nicole Smith ever did in life that warrants the coverage her death is getting. Didn't she model some jeans, get drunk and high, marry an old dude for money, get drunk and high, have a reality show, lose some weight, then get high again?..So why in hell is every show in the free world covering her damn death...I DON"T care..I can't even say "anymore"...that would mean I would have had to care at some point. She is getting more coverage than people like Ahmet Ertegun and James Brown...and that HAD an impact on the world.

4. Emo music- Good fucking Christ.Normally when I happen to listen to the radio I want to drive off a bridge at the crappyness of the music, but bands like My Chemical Romance and Afi make me want to kill myself cause they are just that damn depressing. It's like they thought one day a ballad just isn't good enough anymore. Let's whine even louder about the "heartbreak" we feel that society and our families don't like or understand us with big guitars behind us. There is a great line from High Fidelity that says,
"Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?" I believe it is the later...

5. The Doors- The following words may send people into a freak out session, especially if you are some arty high school kid "looking for all the answers". I was talking to a kid that works for me that tried to tell me that The Doors were the greatest rock band ever......."ummm..No they weren't" was my response. I will admit The Doors were good, but I do belive that they were the greatest OVERRATED BAND of the classic rock era!!! They barely deserve the place given them in the annals of rock history. Only one really solid album(L.A.Woman") at best they.. are a greatest hits band. Buy the Greatest hits and you will have all The Doors you will EVER need. Fuck Jim Morrison.....any art house geeks that come across this will now flame my ass..

Ok that's it for now...I have vented, it is now time to go watch The Departed on dvd and have a "Kieth's".....

As we get older...

It is an inevitability. Like death ,taxes and bad Nickelback albums, we can all be rest assured that we will get older, and as we do certain things are always expected of us as human beings, like work, relationships marriage blah blah blah. There is so much emphasis on "growing up" that it seems to me that people forget about things that they used to like. Things form their childhood. Like a person who is almost 30 can't freakin watch cartoons, let alone own them on dvd in full seasons.

I do believe that as we get older, yes more responsibility is thrown at us and that's fine I can handle that but for god sakes let go every once in awhile, watch some cartoons and eat some Captain Crunch damn it. Just cause you eat cereal and watch cartoons doesn't men you can't be a serious, successful person too.

The reason I bring this up is I still get excited about things like movie openings(surprised), like right now there are two "geek" movies coming up that I am looking forward to seeing Spider-man 3 and Transformers. Nothing wrong with that I say, you have to have a little fun in your life, the reason we all work is to make money and if you can use that disposable income to buy back your childhood I say why not. So what is this little rant leading up to?. What is it that I want to buy? Sure I want to one day own a life size Boba Fett Statue, or a replica of Luke Skywalker's Light saber, or a complete line of the first generation Transformers, but all those run in the thousands of dollars. No my faithful readers this is what I want!....Is that a bad thing?...Hell no...

Any Reason to mention the mighty Phish guess...

All Day I have had this song by Phish going through my head....Now I share it with you..

FEE-click here to hear/see
In the cool shade of the banana tree
On the rugged trail toward the balcony
A child of the twentieth century
A dried up Goliath and a weasel named Fee

Far away in another place
A fading beauty named Milly Grace
And a bamboo cane to help her keep the pace

Fee was a Buddhist prodigy
Long past the age of maturity
Someday he knew it would set him free
Like it did for Floyd the chimpanzee

Oh, Fee, you're trying to live a life
That's completely free.
You're racing with the wind
You're flirting with death
So have a cup of coffee
And catch your breath

Fee first met Milly in a bar in Peru
His heart was jumping like a kangaroo
Like a beast in a cage in an old Dutch zoo
It was hopping and thumping in wooden shoes

But Floyd was jealous and alone
He wanted Milly for his own
A desperate craving in his bones
"Their love", he said, "I will not condone."

Then one day on a ship to Quebec
Floyd found Milly on a lover's trek
He picked up a bottle and broke off the neck
It sliced through the air, and Fee hit the deck

Oh, Fee, you're trying to live a life
That's completely free
You want to stay with Milly
Until you're dead
But you just got a bottle
Upside your head

Milly turned and began to scream at Floyd
said "You think you're pretty mean"
And though she was as thin as a small string bean
She slammed him in the face with a nectarine

Floyd fell back over the edge of the ship
Till he hung from the rail by his fingertip
said, "Floyd I'll make you lose your grip
With this tiny piece of paper I can make you slip"

So Milly took that paper and did the deed
Floyd hit the water with astonishing speed
And as the sharks circled and began to feed
Milly knew her weasel was finally free

Oh, Fee, you're trying to live a life
That's completely free
Floyd is dead; he's nothing but a ripple
Cause Milly took that paper
And sliced him on the nipple
