Monday Morning...

If there is one thing that can make any morning better, especially a Monday morning, it's the right music. Now me personally as I sit here still easing into the forth coming day, drinking coffee and eating a bagel, I have music playing a specially designed playlist for the morning adventures of showering, shaving and ironing. But then again I playlists designed for everything from playing poker to going to sleep at night (But I am a sick person damn it..). Music can really make everything better, even a Monday morning. So if you want, share your playlist that gets you through a morning,(if you have one) and enjoy your Monday...Here's a sample of what's come up this morning...

1. World Container - The Tragically Hip
2. Take me to the river- Al Green
3. I'm a believer- Neil Young
4. I just don't know what to do with myself- The white Stripes
5. #41- Dave Mathews band
6. Do You (Realize?)- The Flaming Lips
7. Next Year- The Foo Fighters
8. Nausea - Beck
9. She Talks to Angels- The Black Crowes
10.Three Little birds- Bob Marley
11.ABC- The Jackson 5

Trailer Park.....

Thought that I would share a few trailers I had come across. Check them out...Enjoy

I feel I need to defend this choice. But just let me say, I work with a girl named Sarah Marshall, and she looks NOTHING like Kristen Bell.

Good Grief......fucking religious freaks...

I do find it rather sad when a young talent in the world of film or music dies prematurely. And yes it was sad ,when earlier this week Heath Ledger died. Here was a guy who loved his work,a gifted actor, Generally kept to himself and was by all accounts a doting father. No real scandalous details of his death, just seems to be an accident. Of course this will drive up the box office on "The Dark Knight" as he played the Joker in the forth coming blockbuster. Just sad.

But here's what I don't get, and where the religion comes in. Upon Ledger's death an outspoken right wing religious priest(aka nutjob)named Fred Phelps said his church was going to picket his funeral because he PLAYED a gay cowboy. Not that he was gay...but because he PLAYED a gay man in a movie once, and for this he was "perverted and deserved to go to hell with the other sinners". Where do these nutjobs get off picketing a funeral in the first place but their lone reason is because he played a gay cowboy in a movie. Fucking Christ leave the poor family alone. That's right I said "Fucking Christ"., maybe he'll picket my funeral because I once typed "Fucking Christ". This whole thing is just sick, and does just go to show the dark side of religion. You can read an article here from an Australian newspaper on the story.

On a sort of related and lighter note. There is s group that has launched an attack(or war) on the Tom Cruise cult...I mean Church of Scientology... apparently it's a bunch of hackers with some free time but the video was kinda creepy. Check it out below.

Not the ususal material...

Usually around here I talk about the pop culture things like music and movies maybe with a little politics thrown in. I usually don't talk about the other under lying love in my life which is sports, football, golf but mostly Hockey, and more specifically my beloved Montreal Canadians. Also I usually don't put much stock in Rumours about my team, however there is a rumour going around that won't go away and I can't help but hope it comes true...

That rumour?...At the end of the year Bob Gainey, GM extraordinaire, with attempt to attract the, with the exception of some dude named Sidney, the number one sought after free agent in a long time ...Alex Ovechkin.

I want this to happen in the worst way. He loves the city, his best friend plays there, and he wants to play in a hockey city, and really what better hockey city to play in than Montreal....Cup 25 will happen if this rumour comes true.
